Présentation
This project is aimed at restoring and preserving the Yazgulyam Dasht, which suffered enormous damage as a result of the political and socio-economic crisis of the 90s in Tajikistan. Due to the lack of electricity and the subsequent destruction of the irrigation systems of the area, fruit and wild trees and other species of fauna and flora perished as much as possible. The once green area of 90 hectares has almost turned into a desert. Several years ago, the Aga Khan Foundation financed the construction of a sufficiently large water pipeline from the upper village of the Yazgulom Valley to Dasht. Partially the greening of Dasht was restored by the population, however, for a clear and correct restoration of the ecological balance of this area, the intervention of specialists and financial support from local authorities and donors are needed. Through our project, we plan to assist the local population in restoring the ecosystem of the area and use the results asan additional source of income
