Résumé partiel
Drought is a natural disaster caused by insufficient meteorological and hydrological water supply, resulting in reduced soil moisture and imbalance in surface water supply and demand, which in turn affects the growth of surface vegetation, ecosystem balance and human production and life.So far, numerous drought indices have been proposed for monitoring drought events, but different drought indices have different characteristics and application regions. Therefore, studying the applicability of various indices in different regions can help monitor drought accurately and promote the development of drought monitoring research. In this paper, four single drought indices and six integrated drought indices are constructed based on multi-source remote sensing data and related products.By comparing among the Standardized Precipitation Evapotranspiration Index(SPEI),Standardized Precipitation Index(SPI)and the drought distribution characteristics of typical drought years 2009 and 2011,the advantages and disadvantages of various drought monitoring indices are derived, the Optimized Meteorological Drought Index with the highest accuracy is selected finally.drought index(OMDI),which has the highest accuracy, was finally selected to analyze the drought conditions and spatial and temporal variation characteristics in the arid region of northwest China from 2001 to 2019
