The investigation of plant communities and the analysis of physical and chemical properties of the main soil types in the desert area can play an important role in the prevention and control of desertification,the protection and rational utilization of vegetation and soil resources in the future.Based on bayinnaoer city desert region as the study area,this thesis respectively by the method of sample method and soil profile,vegetation and soil type to carry out the field investigation,analyzed the vegetation types,different types of soil physical and chemical properties,as well as the type of soil physical and chemical properties index and correlation analysis between plant diversity index,discusses various types of soil physical and chemical properties and vegetation type of relationship.The main results are as follows :(1)the study area from southeast to northwest of the main distribution of brown soil,pale brown soil,brown desert soil and gray desert soil of five types of soil and desert sand soil,according to the size distribution sequence is : brown desert soil(23%)> brown soil >(19%)pale brown soil(15%)> gray desert soil(15%)> desert sand soil(12%),other scattered soil type accounted for 16%.Nitraria sphaerocarpa community(25%)>Reaumuria soongarica community(21%)> Caragana tibetica community(14%)>Zygophyllum xanthoxylon community(10%)> Artemisia ordosica community(8%),and other plant communities accounted for 22%.(2)Soil moisture content decreased significantly from east to west,but soil bulk density and porosity did not change significantly ;The contents of soil total nitrogen and organic matter also decreased gradually from southeast to northwest.At the same time,the contents of total nitrogen and organic matter increased first and then decreased with the increase of soil depth,and the contents of total nitrogen and organic matter in the20-30 cm soil layer were significantly higher than those in other soil layers.(3)The correlation analysis of physical and chemical properties of different types of soil and vegetation diversity index showed that the bulk density of brown calcium soil and light brown calcium soil was significantly positively correlated,while the porosity of brown calcium soil was negatively correlated with Simpson index(D).Simpson,brown desert soil total phosphorus content and vegetation index(D),Shannon Wiener diversity index(H)is significantly related to the total nitrogen content of gray desert soil and vegetation Simpson index(D),Shannon Wiener diversity index(H)is significantly related to the desert sand soil total phosphorus,organic matter content and vegetation Simpson index(D),Shannon Wiener diversity index(H)significant positive correlation
