Ammopiptanthus mongolicus is the only evergreen broad-leaved shrub in the desert area of Central Asia,it is of great scientific value to predict the potential and suitable distribution areas of this species.Based on 135 geographical distribution data and Max Ent niche model,19 environmental factors were selected to predict the future distribution pattern and area of A.mongolicus,in order to fully understand the current situation and future development trend of A.mongolicus population in distributionarea,and promote population protection eight distribution points were selected:BYH,HSX,ALB,BJT,WTG,BYT,EGW and YKB conduct community survey,based on the simulation results of species distribution model,the population structure and the species composition and community characteristics of the living community of holly A.mongolicus were studied.The results show that:1.The AUC values of training set and test set simulated by the model are 0.990and 0.988 respectively,and the prediction results of the model are reliable ;2.A.mongolicus is mainly distributed in western Inner Mongolia,northern Ningxia,Eastern Gansu and southern Mongolia ;3.The current distribution area of A.mongolicus is 6.3×105km2,the distribution area of A.mongolicus is 9.1×105 km2in 2050,and the suitable area of A.mongolicus is1.04×106km2in 2070.The distribution area and population area of A.mongolicus will increase ;4.The main factors affecting the distribution of holly are precipitation of coldest quarter,min temperature of coldest month,precipitation of warmest quarter,annual mean temperature,precipitation of wettest month and the annual precipitation.5.There are 10 species belonging to 8 genera and 8 families in shrub layer ;There are 38 species belonging to 31 genera and 28 families in herbaceous layer.The order of species diversity index in each distribution area of A.mongolicus was as follows:YKB,BYT,BYH,EGW,HSX,WTG,ALB and BJT.The proportion of abundance distribution of A.mongolicus,the BJT plot was the largest,accounting for40.3%,EGW(34.5%),BYH(28.4%),ALB(28.3%)and HSX(27.7%)followed,WTG(19.4%)was the lowest ;6.According to the investigation of population age structure,BYH,BJT and WTG are growth type population,HSX,BYT,ALB,EGW and YKB are stable type population,but the survival rate of seedlings is low.7.The results of cluster analysis were as follows:HSX and BJT were one class,the other was divided into another ;the other was EGW and WTG,BYT,YKB,ALB and BYH as one.In conclusion,the poor living environment and the shelter of dominant species in the distribution area are the main obstacles to seed germination,seedling growth and population development of A.mongolicus ;The results of this study not only provide the division of the suitable distribution of A.mongolicus,but also provide important scientific significance for the investigation and monitoring of A.mongolicus
