Effect of Climatic Elements on Dates Production in Al-Madinah Al-Munawara Abrar Abdulsalam Bader Abstract This study examined the climatic elements affecting the production of dates in Medina, and aimed to demonstrate the impact of different climate elements on the productivity of dates in Medina, and analyzing the correlation between them .In this study, the researcher relied on the descriptive analytical method, including many quantitative, statistical and cartographic methods, and extracting correlations between climatic elements and the production of dates in the study area. The climatic data issued by the General Authority of Meteorology and Environment and the dates production data issued by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture were used. He results of the study showed the suitability of the climate characteristics of the study area for planting palm trees and producing dates. The study also showed a variation in the annual production volume of dates during the study period, due to a set of factors, the most important of which is the conversion of agricultural lands to residential uses as a result of population growth, urban expansion water shortage. The results of the statistical analysis of Pearsons correlation showed that there are different correlations between climatic elements and the production of dates. The correlation coefficient value for the average temperature reached (-0.303), while it reached (-0.664) for the maximum temperature, and (0.670) for the lower temperature, and (0.372) for rain, and (0.255) for relative humidity, and (- 0.268) for evaporation. And finally (-0.119) for wind speed. The researcher recommends paying attention to studying palm trees and producing dates in Madinah and benefiting from their favorable climate to increase agricultural production, as the dates crop is a real wealth, a strategic national crop characterized by its value and economic importance, and its role in achieving national food
