Résumé
The aim of the study was to evaluate managerial status of Ova Water User Association (OWUA’s) at Konya-Çumra province. In the research, mainly water delivered, financial and production performance indicators were calculated. In addition, agricultural water management problems of farmers were researched by face-to-face survey techniques. The results showed that annual water delivered per irrigated areas varied from 5958 in 2014 to 7848 m3/ha in 2012, respectively. Irrigation ratio varied from 132% to 192%. Unit area per staff was found low as 0.0012 staff/ha. Revenue collection ratio for 6-year average was found as about 75%. Ova Water User Association (OWUA’s) is sufficient in regard to machinery park. The average production outputs or incomes for the year of 2014 were obtained the highest from potato as about 25000 TL/ha or 8340 $/ha, and the lowest from forage crops as about 300 TL/ha or 100 $/ha. Although cereals resulted 750 $/ha, lower than the potato output, it had the greatest production area so it should be continued production of cereals with priority for efficient water use in agriculture. Efficient agricultural water management is vital important especially in arid and semi-arid regions of the world. In such regions, crop patterns should be organized in accordance of current water supply. In that regard, the findings obtained from this research is original and it may be as a guide for new researches. The result of the survey showed that majority of the farmers stated the main problems in agricultural water management as high water cost.
