Résumé
The present research was conducted over 71367.21 ha land area of Develi Plain to determine the type, level and spatial distribution of soil salinity. Regular grid system (1.5 x1.5 km) was used and soil samples were taken from the corners of each grid. A total of 288 soil samples were taken from 0-30, 30-60, 60-90 cm soil depths with a soil auger. Salinity (EC), pH and sodium adsorption ratio (SAR) values of saturated extracts were determined. Results were mapped through geographical information systems (GIS) tools. Results revealed that 50.13% was found unsaline, 12.88% sligh saline, 22.04% medium level saline and 14.94% high level saline. It was concluded that proper reclamation measures should be taken over the saline and alkaline sections of the plain.
