Descriptif
ADRA’s SAFE project aims improve food security for families who are vulnerable to climate change in Bayan Ulgii, Mongolia. Efforts are focused towards providing sustainable economic development and poverty reduction measures. The project will provide sustainable economic development and poverty reduction measures that are based upon the Cooperative model. Focus of this initiative will met through promoting creation and sustainability of legally registered Cooperatives through the business development services, knowledge of innovative and climate sensitive approaches and techniques for local food production and micro-business training. Goals for SAFE include Increased production of locally grown vegetables among female and male cooperative members in Bayan Ulgii, Increased effectiveness of targeted rural cooperatives in Bayan-Ulgii to manage the priorities and interests of its female and male members in an equitable way and Increased household income for female and male cooperative members from the sales of vegetables and value added products.
