Descriptif
This project worked on the improvement of the local production of Volanta pumps at the Centre Sainte Famille in Burkina Faso. Several innovations of the Volanta pump were introduced. Besides the training a revised version of the Volanta manual was produced.

Activités
* Search for causes of problems and their solutions (manufacturing processes, tools, training) * Translate the solutions into procedures and describe them in manuals * Develop/introduce better tools (such as jigs, calibres) * Train the management and staff in using devices (drawings, calibres, AutoCAD) and new procedures * Train/inform pump mechanics, guided by the updated manual for installation and O&M

Objectifs
* An improved production process and quality control of the Volanta pump in Burkina Faso * An updated manual for the manufacturing, installation and O&M of the Volanta pump * Create awareness among Volanta pump mechanics on above developments

Budget : ETC 30,000 euro
