Descriptif
The proposed HADAAF project is aiming to support 255 food insecure families in the drought affected districts of Kashonda, Sholgarah, Mazar and chemtal districts of Balkh Province in Afghanistan, ensuring their food security for 6 months. Islamic Relief Afghanistan will initially respond to the immediate needs of recently affected families in Balkh Province. Based on the Rapid need assessment done by IRW in two provinces and the immediate needs identified by UNFAO, FSAC, WHO, UNOCHA and ICRC Information Bulletin suggests food security, water and sanitation, non-food items, poultry kits, and livestock feed, fast growing fodder crops, and Health services. IRW as a part of cluster coordination mechanism and effective member in emergency response, was requested to provide food items to the IDP and non IDP families in Balkh Province. Our assumption is the other needs are provided by other organizations. IRW through this project will provide 255 Food packages of standardize food items to the target families.
