Chad is a Sahelian country located in the heart of the African continent. It is subdivided into twenty-two regions whose capital is NDjamena. The below 18-year-old age group represent almost 43% of the total population. Despite the efforts made by the government, donors and civil society to deliver on human and childrens rights, including social rights, Chad was affected by the crises in Darfur and the Central African Republic which began in 2003 and 2013 respectively, causing mass influxes of displaced persons and refugees and inter-community conflicts. The various crises resulted in the violation of human and child rights, forced displacement and the recruitment of children into armed conflicts, etc. Orphans and street children in NDjamena are the primary victims of instability (war and conflicts), urban poverty and labour exploitation. They are also deprived of the basic services including access to primary education and health services. Since these children are either orphan and no one can fulfil their basic needs (mainly clothes) or their parents are extremely poor, attending education is barely a wish which they want to apprehend sometime in the future. Hence, to brighten the future development and improve the psycho social status of these orphans and vulnerable children, creating access to some basic needs (e.g. clothes) should be the beginning point.

The project will assist 136 orphans and street children (01-15 year-old) [female = 64 and male = 72] through providing clothes. The targeted orphans communities are prioritized as most of their families (99%) are considered poor lacking livelihoods opportunities - i.e. almost all targeted children experience difficult psycho social conditions that was very tough during as they didnt receive their sponsorship entitlements. In grouped of street children through Qurbani project, clothes and other needs are raised Additional indirect beneficiaries are expected from the other family members of each household, so that the parents attention should be focused on them as their brothers and sisters(direct beneficiaries) are benefiting from that project (408 beneficiaries)
