Descriptif
In order to realize sustainable development, the capacity of community based women’s organizations, like women’s cooperatives, is being strengthened through skills focused trainings, adult women literacy, technical support and financial assistance for the targeted community-based women’s associations/cooperatives. The initiative also promotes a participatory and all inclusive development approach which enabled the women’s associations to self-finance and manage their own organization which will result in self-reliant and self-sustained forms of female organizational groups which, in itself has transformative and empowering mechanisms, since women gain skills in decision making and are given confidence by working cooperatively in groups. The project also allows women to increase their incomes. The capacity of the women’s associations is assessed in a very structured and systematic way which allows the best possible support programme to be constructed for the members.
