The most acute flood affected household are targeted by this intervention Niamey Districts IV and V where more that 4,000 HHs are currently IDPs living in schools ; ? Provision of temporary shelter support ? this will be provided to 478 HHs with destroyed houses. ho are currently sheltered in schools as a result of their houses colapsing. Following Shelter Cluster guidance adapted to local context, through Cash voucher programming, HHs will be able to purchase temporary shelter materials from selected vendors to support in their reolcation from schools to safe locations. Based on the shelter cluster guidance, HHs will have available to them tarpaulin (2 pieces of 20 square meter each) and rope (2 pieces of 10m), they also expressed the needs for mats. They will each recieve a voucher value of XOF 32,000, the value is formed based on the market valuke of the shelter cluster items to be available. ? Provision of cash to HHs to afford other materials for temporary shelter construction ? HHs will need wood to build the temporary shelter. HHs will be free to choose which best suits their needs and will recieve a cash transfer of 9,350 xof for this purpose to spend on the market as per their needs for construction. With the materials, HHs will construct temporary shelter to protect them from the weather elements. The value of additional materials is estimated based on the standard kit proposed by shelter cluster.ÿ ? 478 households will follow sensitization on Climate Change, Protection (GBV/CP), WASH, Nutrition, and Covid-19 prevention measures ; ? Local traders will be identified screened and invited to participate in Cash voucher operation for food shelter materials. They will be sensitized by IR on Cash voucher approach as well as Covid-19 prevention measures. ? IR Niger will ensure that activities are adapted in a way that minimizes covid-19 risks to beneficiaries and staff.
