Water for Food Security and Livelihood project for vulnerable rural communities in the village of Sanambele is of Southern Mali is a 12 month project for an amount of 120,000GBP funded from Islamic Relief UK. The main purpose of the project is to improve the livelihood and food security status of 200 households or 1,500 family members in the Village of Sanambele through construction of micro dam to collect rain water and enable the small holder farmers to access water for irrigation during the dry season and to help 100 women headed households to be engaged in vegetable production through accessing irrigable vegetable garden.
