Descriptif
The proposed project will contribute to an on-going WFP funded CMAM project (ending in March 2018) which is designed to save lives of children 6-59 months, pregnant and lactating women who are acutely malnourished in the targeted governorates. The funds will seek to address the existing gaps in 14 HFs in the on-going project more-so in supporting MoPHP in reaching the uncovered malnourished cases in level 2 and 3 villages (hard-to-reach sites) through bi-monthly outreach services to be conducted by HWs and CHVs from the linked Health Facilities. The key projects deliverables will be ; recruitment of at least one additional HWs per HF and at least 2 CHVs at level 2 and 3 villages, CMAM and IYCF refresher/classroom trainings for HWs & CHVs, transportation of nutrition supplies, provision of additional furniture to the targeted HFs, provision of routine & general medicines, provision of preventative services (micro-nutrient supplementation, deworming, immunization services, Iron/Folate supplementation to PLW as well as promotion of hygiene practices).
