Descriptif
Islamic Relief Yemen (IRY) proposes emergency food assistance to vulnerable families in Taiz. The response aims to provide food assistance to 420 HHs in Taiz. The proposed project will save lives, alleviate suffering and maintain human dignity of conflict-affected people in Yemen. IRY will achieve this through reducing vulnerability of 2,940 conflict-affected people in Taiz governorate ; especially women and children. This project is an emergency food assistance where all beneficiaries will receive food rations in six rounds. The beneficiaries will be selected based on the criteria of such ; IDPs, women headed households, PLW, malnourished children, widows, orphans, muhamasheen (marginalized) and any other vulnerable groups. The distribution process will be undertaken by IRY staff assigned to work in the targeted governorate with leadership from the main office in Sana ?a and the sub-office in Taiz. IRY will deliver food commodities to the FDPs/Schools and inform the targeted HHs of the distribution date, at least two days before the starting day to enable all the beneficiaries to be around that day. IRY will work in cooperation with the local authority, and other stakeholders to manage the food delivery, storage, distribution and solving any related problems. The distribution team consists of the FS&L program Coordinator, field coordinators, field teams, M&E team, casual workers and volunteers.ÿ
