Présentation
The Burberry Foundation and the Oxfam are both committed to empowering and supporting goat farming and cashmere producing communities in Afghanistan, focusing on Herat and Balkh provinces. The programme will promote community resilience, alleviate poverty, and create better links between producers and the market in order to further social and economic development. The programme has a multi -tiered approach and through its interventions, will increase the value obtained for cashmere producing men and women and improve their livelihoods. Through the grant given by the Burberry Foundation to Oxfam, together with the grant given by the Burberry Foundation to PUR Project, the programme seeks to positively impact the lives of over 300,000 people over 5 years in Afghanistan. The programme aims to ensure long -term impact and resilience by developing self -sustaining mechanisms and engaging new funding partners for the continuation and expansion of the programme.
