The hotline connects callers to Psychosocial counselors from the relevant networks in targeted communities, across the Herat and Helmand provinces for free. The hotline support as part of the case management support, information dissemination on GBV, COVID-19, referral and follow up of protection cases. Group based activities are not advisable in the current circumstances and should only be conducted if they comply with government directives and prevention and mitigation measures are put in place. Given to the current circumstances# alternative modalities in active hotline establishment need to be explored to ensure continued protection support, such as follow up by phone. Based on the guidance set up by the Protection Cluster, psychosocial counsellors should it be a requirement to note any statistical information as age and gender of callers, verbal consent must be obtained from the caller. Set the proceduresfor when and how to refer persons with severe psychological distress and updated list of links and other information and psychoeducational materials that can be sent/sharing to the caller when ending the call. Psychosocial counselors can alleviate the stress and anxiety produced by the outbreak and can also be used to share information on the containment, prevention and response to COVID-19, The properly train staff will be nourished with updated service mapping information. This intervention will provide Information on COVID-19 for communities, People who are surviving violence in their relationships and families may be experiencing increased isolation and danger caused by social distancing measures during the Coronavirus pandemic i.e. following are the bullate-points for interventions.
