BRC is supporting MRCS to implement a Social Care Programme in 8 branches (Nalaikh Darkhan Tuv Sukhbaatar Mandal Uvurkhangai Baganuur &Dundgobi) through home based care services. The aim of the project is to improve the lives of vulnerable people and their families through a network of volunteers. The beneficiary risk groups are : elderly single parent households and disabled. The volunteers are trained to deliver services such as : provision of food parcels and household goods including flour vegetable oil and rice collecting drinking water and firewood providing psychological support improving health in the community by sharing health information and advice in the SC centre linking beneficiaries to relevant government services and benefits The social care centres help reduce isolation and give people an opportunity to learn new skills. BRC will be scalling down the programme and exit in 2018 a gradual scale down of the programme will be implemented in 2017 and 2018 1. Household visit to the most vulnerable 2.Lining with local government and social welfare in registering for state benefits 3.Strengthening the capacity of MRCS project staff and volunteer to deliver SC service based on MRCS minimum standard of SC delivery.
