Présentation
MFC Nyetaa is a Malian organisation working around energy and environmental issues. The organisation works also internationally on good governance, development of local economy and environmental protection .The current MFC application wants to continue to strengthen the Sigida Nyetaa program for the period of 2015-2016, which has been carrying an emphasis on the promoting of co-governance of environmental commons, putting people and nature first whilst incorporating traditional knowledge and practices, and t he development of alternative economic activities in support of this in the localities of Garalo, Filamana and Finkolo, in the region of Sikasso, Mali. The SN program will now be putting a strong stress on the departing point for the program being the Centres of Excellence, the physical spaces of learning, experimentation and demonstration currently already existing in Garalo and Filamana, and being built in Finkolo (where sofar cooperation has taken place through the Mayor) and that through their increased consolidation and autonomous working supported by the current program phase, the Centres would fascilitate :-the further strengthening and empowerment of the local communities and their (professional) organisations, with regards to the development of a comprehensive view on environment + climate, in order to work towards sustainable natural commons/resource co-governance.- the further strengthening of the development of sustainable local economic activities. - the campaigning on different levels regarding the rights of the communities to the preservation of their ecosystem.
