Présentation
The main objective of this WHO project is to provide emergency life-saving health responses to drought disasters in Kenya targeting affected children, women, and men.WHO’s strategic interventions will be to target children, women, and men who have been affected by the worsening drought building upon and extending already launched health interventions. The focus is to control communicable diseases such as cholera, diarrhea, measles and managing severe acute malnutrition that is admitted in the major county facilities with medical complications requiring specialized care. Focus is also directed at strengthening the early warning (EWARN) and response for communicable disease outbreaks, and ensuring that essential lifesaving drugs, medical and laboratory supplies are available. A dedicated public health emergency officer will be deployed to support the counties affected to implement the activities.The project targets 81,900 people, including 11,466 women, 10,647 men,59,787 children, and 1,802 persons with disabilities
