Présentation
The key objective of this project provides emergency assistance to safeguard livelihoods and sustain the nutrition of drought-affected pastoralist households in Marsabit and Mandera counties. This FAO project provides food assistance and shock-responsive cash transfers targeting households that are currently food-insecure as a result of the prevailing drought. The project also provides livestock feed and supplements to save core breeding stock in the most drought-affected counties, and supports veterinary treatments and vaccination against emerging livestock diseases across all pastoral and agropastoral zones. The project provides humanitarian assistance to 30,400 people, including 7,254 women, 4,864 men, 18,282 children, and including 1,216 persons with disabilities.
