Présentation
The key objective of this WHO project is to provide emergency life-saving health response to drought-affected people in Kenya. This project aims to contain drought-related disease outbreaks such as diarrhea, measles and cholera, as well as treating patients with severe acute malnutrition (SAM) with medical complications who are admitted in the major county facilities and require specialized care. WHO also ensures that essential lifesaving drugs and medical supplies are available in the key health facilities in the affected counties. The project provides humanitarian assistance to 108,722 people, including 21,744 women, 10,872 men, 76,106 children, and including 8,850 persons with disabilities.
