Présentation
The main objective of this $1.6m UNICEF project will be to preserve the lives and dignity of affected people multi-sectoral emergency assistance. UNICEF is screening 14,344 children for SAM ; enabling admission to SAM treatment for 3,718 children ; and providing infant and young child feeding (IYCF) messaging to 8,502 women. In addition, UNICEF is rehabilitating 23 water points benefiting 11,500 people ; constructing 450 latrines servicing 9,000 people ; distributing 11,066 WASH kits including menstrual hygiene items ; and raising awareness among 64,523 people around safe water and hygiene practices. UNICEF is also providing psychosocial support to parents and children ; putting in place or equip 3 child-friendly spaces and 3 community mechanisms ; ensuring family and social reintegration for 300 unaccompanied or separated minors and 100 children unlawfully recruited or used by armed forces or armed groups. Moreover, UNICEF is conducting mine risk education for 1,500 displaced children and displaced persons. In addition, UNICEF is vaccinating 41,407 children against measles and inform 82,814 persons about the vaccination. In total, this project is supporting 23,202 people through nutrition activities, 64,523 people through water and sanitation activities, 7,750 persons through child protection activities and 82,814 persons through health activities including awareness raising sessions.
