With CERF funding, UNICEF : supports a Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) as a first-line WASH response to provide life-saving assistance to newly displaced people across the active frontlines in Ma’rib ; assists vulnerable children with essential child protection services such psychosocial support and mine risk education ; provides vaccination, essential health services and Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI) to children under five through integrated outreach and mobile teams. In addition, this support also enables the biggest referral hospital in Ma’rib to provide Maternal and Newborn Health services, particularly to pregnant women and newborn babies with complications. The project targets 369,202 affected people with WASH activities, 48,710 with child protection and 145,614 with health activities.
