STRENGTHENING SOCIAL COHESION BETWEEN REFUGEES AND HOST COMMUNITIES

Burkina Faso

Titre : STRENGTHENING SOCIAL COHESION BETWEEN REFUGEES AND HOST COMMUNITIES

Pays  : Burkina Faso

Date/Durée : Oct 2021 // Dec 2025

Projet ID : BFA 1102-20

Description
In Burkina Faso, 80% of people earn their living through agriculture. The country is densely populated and increasing numbers of people share ever smaller parcels of land. The north of the country, reputed to be safer, has attracted a particularly large number of IDPs. In addition to digging or repairing wells and latrines, WHH advises people here on nutrition and hygiene issues. An equally important aspect of this project involves investing in social cohesion and conflict resolution by offering training and dialogue forums bringing together members of the refugee and host communities.

Overall project budget : € 3,500,000
