BASIC INFRASTRUCTURE FOR ELECTRICITY IN REMOTE AREAS

Tajikistan

Titre : BASIC INFRASTRUCTURE FOR ELECTRICITY IN REMOTE AREAS

Pays  : Tajikistan

Date/Durée : Jan 2021 // Dec 2022

Projet ID : TJK 1126-20

Description
In the border region between Tajikistan and Afghanistan, many mountain villages lack access to the power grid due to their remote locations. This makes heating, cooking, and irrigation a real challenge. This project supplies communities on both sides of the border with renewable energy. Not only will solar pumps irrigate the fields, but tradespeople like cabinetmakers and service providers like healthcare centres can now use cheap green power instead of expensive diesel-powered generators. The villages maintain the facilities themselves.
