Résumé
Mutton sheep breeding is the pillar industry of economic development in arid areas.To guide the improvement of mutton sheep breeds by crossbreeding in this area,the crossbreeding experiment was carried out with white headed Dorper sheep as male parent and Hu sheep as female parent to study the production performance and fecundity of hybrid offspring of Dorper sheep and Hu sheep in arid areas.This thesis includes two experiments as follows.Experiment 1 : The production performance(reproductive performance,growth performance and slaughter performance)of the experimental group(Dorper-Hu hybrid offspring)and the control group(Hu sheep)were compared.The results show that:1.For reproductive performance : the lambing rates of Hu sheep,Dorper-Hu hybrid offspring F1 and F2 were 228.57%,185.71% and 157.14%,respectively ;the weaning survival rates were92.21%,95.31% and 96.36%,respectively ;the pure breeding Hu sheep group showed obvious advantages in reproductive performance.2.For growth performance : the birth weight and average weight of 6-month-old lambs of Hu sheep,Dorper-Hu hybrid offspring F1 and F2were2.90 kg,3.40 kg,3.97 kg,27.19 kg,37.72 kg and 38.81 kg,respectively.The body size(body length,body height,chest circumference and tube circumference)of the first born and6-month-old Dorper-Hu hybrid offspring F2 lambs were higher than those of Dorper-Hu hybrid offspring F1 and Hu sheep groups(P<0.05),the growth performance of Dorper-Hu hybrid offspring F2 lambs showed obvious advantages.3.For slaughter performance : the live weight before slaughter,carcass weight,net meat weight,eye muscle area,slaughter rate and net meat rate of 6-month-old Dorper-Hu hybrid offspring F1 were significantly higher than those of Dorper-Hu hybrid offspring F1 and Hu lambs ;the slaughter performance of Dorper-Hu hybrid offspring F2 was significantly better than that of Dorper-Hu hybrid offspring F1 and Hu lambs.Experiment 2 : The Fec B gene of ewes and hybrid lambs was detected by PCR-RFLP,and the effect of genotype on reproductive performance and growth performance of hybrid offspring was analyzed.The results showed that:1.Fec B gene had effects on lambing rate and growth performance of ewes,which was related to genotype.In terms of lambing rate : the lambing rate of ewes with BB genotype was higher than that of ewes with B+ and ++ genotypes ;2.The birth weight and body size of lambs with BB and B+ genotypes were lower than those with ++ genotypes,and there was no significant difference from 3 months old.In conclusion,the lambing rate of Dorper-Hu hybrid offspring F1 was higher than that of F2,but there was no significant difference in growth performance between Dorper-Hu hybrid offspring F2 and F1 after three months.It was suggested that Dorper-Hu hybrid offspring F1 should be used as the main hybrid breeding in arid area because the population formation cycle of F2 was longer than F1.
