Résumé
Fire is an important ecological process in moist and temperature rangelands and management tool, but little is known of the effects of the cool temperature and semi-arid rangelands. In arid and semi arid rangelands, fire has considered to have a detrimental effect in crop production, living and dead material, microorganisms, soil moisture, organic matter etc. The objective of this study was to determine botanical composition canopy coverage, bacteria and fungi number, soil moisture, soil pH, organic matter, CO2, available total, nitrate and ammonium nitrogen, P, K, Ca, Mg, Na and cation exchange capacity in exclousured rangelands of semi arid and high altitude. In the burned area, while grasses’ ratio significantly decreased, legumes and the other families’ ratio increased. Canopy coverage was 94,00% in the unburned site, it was 82,40% in the burned site. Soul organic matter and pH increased but soil moisture and CO2 decreased at the end of growing seasons following fire. While fire increased available total nitrogen, it decreased available nirate and ammonium nitrogen ratio. At the end of growing seasons following fire, soil P, Ca and Mg content decreased but K, Na and cation exchange ratio increased.
