In this study, yield and biomass values of winter wheat grown under different growing strategies in arid and semi-arid climates were estimated by using AquaCrop 6.1 version. Trial subjects, 26 different irrigation strategies (from S1 to S 26), 5 different irrigation water salinity levels (T1 = 0.5 dS / m, T2 = 2.5 dS / m, T3 = 5 dS / m, T4 = 10 dS / m, T5 = 15 dS / m) and 3 different planting dates (E1 = 15 October E2 = 15 November E3 = 15 December). According to the estimation results obtained from the model, the lowest yield for winter wheat in this region was obtained with a value of 5.15 t / ha for S23 (0-0-0), where irrigation water was not applied during the development period. The highest grain yield (7.42 t / ha) was obtained for S1 (S100-100-100), where full irrigation was done during the stalk, earing and milking periods. According to salinity issues, grain yield and biomass value decreased as the salinity value of irrigation water increased. While there was no significant difference in grain and biomass yield in T1, T2 and T3 subjects, a decrease was observed in T4 and T5 subjects. According to the results obtained, the best yield in winter wheat was obtained in the application carried out on 15 October. Wheat planting in September, yield and biomass values were found to be lower since the soil moisture level was not sufficient for seed germination. The AquaCrop model can be used as a useful tool for decision makers in determining the parameters to optimize yield under different growing scenarios in arid and semi-arid regions.
