Faba bean (Vicia faba L.) is an important legume plant that widely grown for animal feeding, human nutrition and also green fertilization in regions with semi-arid climatic conditions. One of the most important environmental factor that restrict the yield in the production of faba bean in areas with semi-arid climatic conditions where rainfall is insufficient is drought stress. Supplemental irrigation treated during periods when agricultural crops are sensitive to drought stress enables both economical use of the water and higher yields. This study was carried out to determine effects of four different water levels (0%, 33%, 67%, 100% of total water need) in field conditions on yield and yield components (plant height, stem diameter, fruit weight, fruit length, fruit diameter) of Luz de Otono (early), Histal (medium early) and Reina Mora (late) varieties in 2014-2015 in Şanlıurfa province. The study was consisted of random blocks according to split plot trial design with three replications. According to the findings obtained from the study, the highest yield (1470.132 kg/da) was taken from the Histal variety in which irrigation water with I67 was given. When the yield parameters were examined, the highest values were obtained from Histal variety for plant height (82.93 cm), fruit weight (21.92 g), fruit length (25.03 cm) and fruit diameter (2.36 cm). Increasing of the amount of irrigation water has been found positive effects for examined parameters however it did not show the same effect in total yield of varieties.
