Résumé
This research is inserted in the scenario of the semiarid region of the Northeast of Brazil, place of life and work of rural families, who are in a context of poverty and socioeconomic exclusion, where the collective social organization of these social actors tends to strengthen and provide social and productive inclusion. Accordingly, this thesis aims to understand how management processes and relationships occur in an association of rural women, from the perception of the members, as well as to verify the influence of the Association in the lifestyle of these women. This research was developed from the perspective of the interdisciplinary interpretation of the researched facts from the study area of social sciences, using the quantitative and qualitative methodological approach for the analysis of the information collected through field research, The study of the Association of Women `Rescuing His History¿, located in the Village of Lagoa da Volta, municipality of Porto da Folha, in the outback of the State of Sergipe was chosen. As to field research, it had as main procedures : individual interviews with all current members and with 5 former members of the Association ; application of a questionnaire with 2 technicians from partner institutions ; conducting focus groups ; documentary research ; notes in the field diary ; participation in ordinary meetings of the Association ; and systematic observation. It was verified with the research that the collective organization process of this group was motivated by the history of struggle to rescue the relationship of women with the land, to face food insecurity, the lack of work for rural women, the search for improvement of these women’s self-esteem and the occupation of social spaces in addition to the family’s care and reproduction activities. During this process, women counted on the support of mediators, being perceived by the members the importance of these partnerships for the empowerment of women, furthermore for their access to other projects. It is also noteworthy, the protagonism and decision-making autonomy of members towards the organization of this collective, which follows the logic of Solidary Economic Enterprises, through the practice of self-management of endogenous resources in a democratic and participatory way, as all decisions are made in a collective action during the assemblies. Finally, the option for agroecology was found to be a pillar of the women’s association process, and agroecological practices are part of the rural women’s way of life at home, in the production units and in the Association. It is concluded that the process of social organization of the group of rural women from the countryside provided the construction of a collective identity, which can be seen as a strategy for women empowerment, contributing to the social, political, economic and productive inclusion of the members, who have become protagonists of their way of life, which has a transformative effect on their community’s power networks. Therefore, farmers-managers, when building a management system adapted to their reality and demands, self-manage the activities and resources of the Association in a participatory and autonomous way
