Résumé
Food insecurity in Brazil has reached enormous levels, mainly affecting the population in a situation of socioeconomic vulnerability. In this bias, the present work aims to analyze the spatialization of food and nutritional insecurity in Brazil, especially in the region that covers the semi-arid region, identifying the socioeconomic determinations and the territorial consequences. This writing is about a study of qualitative bias, in which were used, as methodological procedures, the bibliographic review of authors that approach the subject in question. In addition, the research included analyzes of secondary data, obtained through publicly accessible platforms. At the end of this investigation, we evidenced the expressive increase of hungry people in the Brazilian territory, in addition to the regression of policies to combat hunger, food insecurity and coexistence with the semi-arid region in the country.
