Résumé
The research objective is to investigate the impact of small and medium enterprises development on youth empowerment in Khartoum, to explore the role played by the small and medium enterprises, their contributions, challenges and adjustment solutions, the major assess how small and medium scale enterprise affect employment generation in Khartoum and to investigate the forms of targeted government support. The methodology adopted is descriptive analytical. The research relied on primary and secondary data. The primary data was gathered through questionnaires among a sample size of 90 respondents working in small and medium enterprises. In addition to the interviews, this made with five interviewees who are currently working in SMEs. The secondary data obtained from different sources. The research results reveal a significant relationship between small and medium enterprises and youth empowerment, SMEs affect positively for youth (The value of Chi-square is (41.644c,44.867b, 127.444a, ‎35.556a ) with (0.00) level of significance which is less than (5%) level of significance) through ; creation job opportunities and income resources, good training and experience and this meets obvious obstacles which face the small and medium enterprises in Khartoum such as the high rate of corruption and taxation, lack of capacity building programs, lack of infrastructure and technology, and lack of financial supports. The recommendation of the research include that there is a need for Sudanese government to change the current value system. This could be accomplished by policies reform and re-systematization
