Résumé
Winter and spring rains fall mostly in the region and that the absence of vegetation, rainfall, surface flow to pass a large portion of winter forage crops will not be the main product and the determination of whether the adverse effects of competition in terms of water consumption is important research. The study is based on the fact that the rainings usually occur during winter and spring when there is no vegetation cover in the region and a great majority of these rainings passes to surface flow and that the negative effect of the rivalry between the main crop and water consumption of the winter feed crops will be limited. For this purpose, the pistachio is commonly cultivated in Gaziantep as the main crop of the winter feed crops that are consisted of vetch, barley and the mixture of vetch+barley. The objective of this study is to search the effects of vetch, barley and their mixture which are different feed crops in the fields of pistachio cultivated in Oğuzeli district of Gaziantep under arid conditions on the stool development of pistachio trees which is among the vegetative properties. According to the two-year results of the study, differences between the effects of the byproduct applications on the vegetative properties were not found significant. In this study, the cultivation of vetch, barley and vetch + barley mixtures with additives has been observed that intermediate products of erosion prevention. Additionally, as well as the protection of the soil moisture, increase of the nutrition elements in the soil, the vegetables being planted were also enabled to be used by the farmers of the region in stockbreeding.
