Résumé
The main purpose of this research is to come out with solutions that are rooted to the local building culture in the middle east to provide low cost, strong, sustainable and thermally comfortable housing, by documentation of samples of adobe buildings in different selected regions and identifying the techniques that can possibly have an effect on improving the building resilience and structural performance. the detailed work will include field work for documenting the earth architecture in Jordan, experimental work and numerical simulation to assess the traditional techniques and its efficacy in resisting the anticipated loads
