Liangucheng Nation Reserve in Minqin county is the only one in Gansu Province and the largest national nature reserve for desert ecosystems in the country.The vegetation in the desert ecosystem is weak sheltering ability to the surface,low productivity,and poor ability to resist natural disasters,but the interaction between plants and their corresponding habitats maintains the energy flow and material circulation in the system.So that the desert ecosystem maintains a weak balance,which prevents further desertification of the land and is the core of the desert ecosystem.As an important carrier for plant growth,soil and vegetation are a system of mutual influence and coordinated development.Soil enzymes and soil microorganisms actively participate in ecosystem processes,such as material cycle and energy flow in the ecosystem.They maintain the cycle of nutrient elements in the ecosystem and the diversity of functions,and are important biologically active substances in the desert vegetation ecosystem.In order to explore the distribution characteristics of soil enzyme activities、soil microbial biomass carbon and nitrogen in the Minqin desert area,and their differences affected by soil physicochemical factors and plant factors,this study used 5 typical plant communities of Ephedra przewalskii,Nitraria tangutorum,Reaumuria songarica,Calligonum mongolicum and Artificial Haloxylon ammodendron in the desert area of Liangucheng in Minqin county,Gansu Province.The soil enzyme activities at 0-10 cm,10-20 cm,20-30 cm soil layers and soil microbial biomass carbon and nitrogen at 0-10 cm layers were measured respectively.And the spatial variation characteristics of soil enzyme activities and soil microbial biomass carbon and nitrogen were analyzed.In addition,combined with the field survey community data and the research group’s existing soil physicochemical data,the relationship between it and soil factors and plant factors was analyzed.The results of the study are as follows :(1)The soil enzyme activities of the five plant communities were significantly different.The activities of invertase,amylase,urease,alkaline phosphatase and catalase in Reaumuria songarica community are higher than those of the other four communities.And the cellulase activity of Calligonum mongolicum community is the highest.On the vertical section,with the increase of soil depth,the soil urease,amylase and cellulase activities of the five plant communities decreased,while the catalase activity increased.There is a good positive correlation among the five hydrolases.
