Descriptif
• To prevent loss of life, assets and protect dignity of drought affected population in the three districts of Afar Regional state of Ethiopia Project outcome • To Reduce morbidity and mortality related to acute malnutrition and improve nutrition practices on children under 5, pregnant and lactating mothers in 44 villages of Afar Regional state by December 31st , 2016. Project Output • Distributed 237.518 MT of CSB ++ (with value of USD 158,937.68) to 19,500 beneficiaries residing in 44 villages for three months. Activities • Plan for distribution of food together with the local district and set date of distribution • Transportation of food to the distribution site using vehicles and animal back for areas inaccessible for vehicle • Demonstrate the utilization of the food to the community • Distribute the food to already screened and targeted beneficiaries using the nutrition protocol of the country • Register the beneficiary name and get signature of the names of the beneficiaries • Monitor the proper use of the food and recovery of the child and mother through the already established system of the health infrastructure • Produce reports both to the donor, government and the office.
