Descriptif
This one-year project seeks to enhance diversified and integrated resilient livelihoods through improving household access to potable water, food security and household’s income among 2,415 households in Kaloleni. The project seeks to improve food security and household incomes by encouraging adoption of resilient climate-smart practices such as apiculture (beekeeping) for commercial purposes, improved breed of poultry rearing, improved breed of goats ; which not only produce more meat, but also milk, alongside kitchen garden technologies for households. It also seeks to increase access to potable water for households in among the most dry area of Kaloleni, which exacerbates food insecurity and vulnerability in the community.
