This project aims to contribute to improving the quality of life of pre-schoolers through early detection and management of speech and hearing difficulties, to supporting the right to health and living with dignity through proposed interventions that focus on : ? Outcome 1 : Improve the health status of 20,000 preschoolers (girls and boys) living in the Gaza Strip Governorates by making a screening for early detection of their hearing & speech difficulties ? Outcome 2 : Improve health status of 6,000 preschoolers (girls and boys) living in Gaza Strip Governorates by providing them with speech therapy & management ? Outcome 3 : Raise awareness of 3500 preschools’ teachers, counselors and parents on hearing and speech difficulties, early detection and preventions. - Output 1.1 : 20,000 Pre-schooners are provided with field middle ear, hearing and speech difficulties screening - Output 1.2 : 1,200 pre-schoolers, who are detected with hearing and speech difficulties, are provided with hearing, middle ear and speech consultancy and treatments - Output 1.3 : 60 pre-schoolers with confirmed hearing loss are fitted monaurally with hearing aids - Output 2.1 : 6,000 pre-schoolers are provided with clinical hearing and speech diagnosis ; (30% of the beneficiaries) - Output 3.1 : 300 awareness sessions about hearing and speech difficulties for early detection and preventions to 3500 preschools teachers, counsellors and parents are conducted.
