Project Summary : The overall objective of this intervention is to improve food security status for conflict affected population in the Gaza Strip. The intervention is aimed at enhancing economic access to food and livelihoods for vulnerable and protection threatened households of young graduates through increasing their incomes as well as improving their skills and qualifications which will increase their independence and recognition within the community. 520 young graduates from vulnerable and food insecure households will be offered paid temporary employment opportunities in local community based organisations or private businesses and agricultural sector for a period of 4-65 months. The income generated is intended to improve the beneficiaries’ and their families’ economic access to nutritious food and other basic daily needs.
