Islamic Relief will participate in supporting the Patients, disabled people and elderly hosted at El wafa Center for Medical Rehabilitation at El Wafa Charitable Society through supplying food items. El Wafa Charitable Society is hosting people different types of disabilities resulting from spinal cord injury, brain strokes, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injuries and neuromuscular diseases in addition to chronic illness, fractures, rheumatic disorders and amputations. It also deal with cases of complications from disability such as pressure sores, joint contracture, spasticity and voiding disorders. The content of the food parcel is usually determined according to the most agreed commodities for the beneficiaries and in line with the Minimum standards for the humanitarian response (Sphere standard). The quantity and content of the food packs tries to provide the minimum calories needed per person per day to meet the nutritional requirements. Food pack will include different food items like : • Rice • Lentils • Chick peas • Vegetable oil • Sugar • Cheese • Tomato paste • Pasta • Powder milk • Canned beans • Other items as needed Goal Participate in ending food insecurity and ensure access by the poor and people in vulnerable situations to safe, nutritious and sufficient food. Objectives To support the feeding and nutrition of Patients, disabled people and elderly people ? Outputs Patients, disabled people and elderly people receive healthy, sufficient and nutritious food for 3 months
