Descriptif
The proposed project is a continuation of IRPAL efforts in the field of food security of vulnerable and food-insecure communities, through providing temporary employment opportunities for unemployed people using the cash-for-work scheme. The proposed project will aim to improve food security and support livelihoods of the food-inseure communities in the Gaza Strip. The overall outcome is to reduce vulnerability of food-inseure households through temporary employment opportunities for unemployed youth (recent graduates and labours) of both genders in the Gaza Strip. The target group will be identified and selected among the non-refugee population in coordination with other CfW cluster actors such as UNRWA, CRS, NRC, ACF, PU and Oxfam in order to organize and coordinate efforts and avoid duplication. The beneficiaries will be given temporary work placements at local CBOs and private sector and agricultural farms/CBOs. The employment rounds will be for 2-5 months, where the beneficiaries will be given various levels of wages for 22 working days per month.
