Présentation
The main objective of this project is to provide nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene assistance to internally displaced persons and host communities in Ansongo, Bandiagara, Bankass, Bourem, Douentza, Gao, Koro and Menaka. This UNICEF project screens children for acute malnutrition and treats severe cases of malnutrition, promotes programming for infant and young child feeding, and improves access to safe drinking water in nutrition treatment centres. The nutrition component of the project provides humanitarian assistance to 312,000 people, including 157,000 women, 155,000 children, and including 47,000 persons with disabilities. The water, sanitation and hygiene component provides humanitarian assistance to 8,000 children.
