Présentation
The main objective of this $2.5m UNICEF is to provide life-saving nutrition and to (re-)enrol IDP children in formal and non-formal education. To that end, UNICEF is screening 120,000 children under 5 for malnutrition and providing them with high energy biscuits, and training 150,000 pregnant and lactating mothers on best practices for infant and young child feeding. In addition, UNICEF and its partners are establishing 60 temporary learning spaces and equipping them with learning materials and appropriate water and sanitation facilities to enable 10,000 children to access education. In total, 270,000 people including 150,000 women and 62,400 girls, are being reached through the nutrition component and 10,000 children, including 5,000 girls and 5,000 boys, are being reached through the education component.
