Project objective : Improve the food security status of assessed food insecure people through emergency life-saving food assistance. Outcome : 1627 needy family in eastern Ghouta have access for bread and food along 30 days Activities : - Money transfer inside Syria - Coordination with relevant stakeholders regarding the distribution modality and selection n process - Agreement with selected bakeries which will provide the bread. - Monitoring of the project activities - Final report submission The targeted families are under siege and they do not currently have access for food due to the scarcity of commodities as well as the dramatic increase in the prices. This has led to widespread of malnutrition. IR is going to provide assistance for 1050 families through the distribution of bread average of 3 times per week along one month as well as distribution of food parcel for 577 families. IR partner Beyaz Eller (White Hands) is an active partner in the area and they are going to implement the project on behalf of IR.
