Présentation
The project aims at supporting the government of Ethiopia to improve the standard of living of the country´s population and to reduce the consequences of adverse natural and especially geological conditions. This should contribute to increased environmental protection as well as to the sustainable management of the country´s natural resources.

The affected areas will be delineated, the efficiency of Geological Service of Ethiopia will be enhanced, especially when creating the detailed studies. A set of geomaps with explanatory notes for 4 selected maplists of a scale 1 : 50 000 and a methodical guidebook will be the main outcomes of the project. The guidebook will be conceived in cooperation with the local Geological Service and their capacities will be consequently reinforced through trainings that will enable the local staff to process, make use of and diffuse information related to the georisks analysis.
