Présentation
The implementing together with local experts will create a plan of innovative management of natural resources for 32 kebeles in Baso River basin. Its application and acceptance by locals will result in decreasing of erosion and increasing the retention capacity of the upper catchment area and will improve natural resource management by local residents. A pilot area will be rehabilitated by nature friendly erosion measures and water management structures implemented in the territory of two communities in the upper catchment of the basin. The local population will be conducted to the innovative management by trained representatives of local authorities and local experts. They will attend series of training courses and workshops, and will adopt these innovative methods as their own. A permaculture training center where local farmers will be trained to the management according to the principles of “climate smart agriculture” will be founded.
