Présentation
The aim of the project was to provide a sustainable supply of drinking and non-drinking water in the areas of Zalugiin Gol and Ulaan Tolgoi and construction of sixteen new drilled wells. In each of the two areas, eight wells were drilled. Another aim of the project was to determine the water balance of the examined areas in the Orkhon province or the adjacent territory, depending on the hydro geological conditions, and to establish a water management plan for further development of pastures and growing areas and settlement centers. As a result, this project will enhance economic production, improve the economic situation of the local population, and reduce migration of the local population to large settlements. Project should also help to slow down the process of desertification of the area.
