Présentation
ACGVELA is a prospective, analytical, training and communication method ; constitutes a simple guide to the process of planning and improving access, use, management, conservation and valorization of woody food resources in arid regions from Sub-Saharan Africa. In each of the stages of the process, all the groups involved collaboratively participate : local population, civil society, Niger government and local administration, traditional leadership, technical services and university.

It is implemented with the participation of all the actors of the population, with an active and feedback training method among sources of knowledge : local knowledge, science and technology. Awareness and communication includes these issues and others gender equality, right to food, access to land and resources, and citizen participation and democracy. These dissemination activities are also carried out by the different actors. ACGVELA constitutes a tool for technical and political decision-making and the adoption of concrete measures adapted to the Nigerien context and other countries with similar problems. It is available to users (i.e. vulnerable groups, both collectors / producers and transformers and local traders), development actors, scientists and technicians.
